BIOGRAPHY

Christina joined the Center for Ocean Solutions as a social science research fellow in 2013.  She is an applied social scientist tackling fisheries, conservation, and livelihood challenges.  Her research integrates theory and methods from economics, psychology, political science, and fisheries science to examine the way people’s values relate to and change, depending on their social context. Christina is interested inusing novel and interdisciplinary approaches to address environmental challenges.

Christina received her PhD in ecosystem services at the ARC Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies at James Cook University in Australia.  She earned her Masters of Science in Tropical Coastal Management at Newcaslte University in the UK.

Christina’s work experience spans disciplines from coral reef ecology to inorganic chemistry.  Her studies have taken her all over the world from Australia, the UK and Kenya.
