The Centre’s Postgraduate Writing Retreat 2018 is based on the Thesis Boot Camps from The Australian National University and The University of Melbourne.

What is a Thesis Boot Camp? Thesis Boot Camps are pretty simple: write as many words as possible over two days (many people write over 10,000 words) with food, accommodation, and coffee all taken care of. There are no workshops or skills development, just the time,  space, and encouragement to write.

Who? The camps are aimed at postgraduate students who are near the end of their candidature, but also anyone with data analysed, ready to write a chapter or paper.

When?  Sunday September 30th (late afternoon) until Wednesday October 3rd (morning)

Where? APEX Camps, Picnic Bay, Magnetic Island, Queensland

Who? Max 25 PhD students
