Ben’s PhD research focuses on the ecology, distribution and movement of key mesopredator fishes in a range of habitats in Kimbe Bay in West New Britain, Papua New Guinea. Originally from the UK, he has worked in marine conservation and research around the globe, from the Caribbean through to the Indo-Pacific, Polynesia and our very own Great Barrier Reef. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Zoology from Bangor University and an MSc in Tropical Marine Biology from the University of Essex and has come to the ARC Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies under the supervision of Profs Geoff Jones and Mark McCormick.
