Mark Ford-Learner
Masters of Science Candidate
Mark completed a undergraduate double degree in Arts and Science at Monash University (2016-2020). For the science component of his undergraduate degree Mark majored in conservation ecology. Mark majored in sociology and minored in history for the Arts part of the double degree. In 2018 he completed an exchange semester at the University of Bergen in Norway. Mark has always been fascinated with the interactions and feedbacks between people and nature. In 2021 Mark moved to Townsville where he started his Master of Science (professional) degree. His is currently completing a minor project on where and when ecosystem services occur on the Great Barrier Reef (GBR). He hopes to gain a greater understanding into which areas of the GBR provide the greatest return on conservation and restoration efforts. In this project he is advised by Graeme Cumming and Jane Addison.
